ISAPI SENDMAIL

ASP Users Note: You have connection to "CDO.Message" for sending Mail and Attachments / Etc directly within your web applications.

Interactive email forms are used to collect information from visitors to your site. This information can be sent to your email address and/or stored in a database. This opens doors for you to do a wide variety of user-centered applications. Interactive forms allow a designer to create a document containing checkboxes, radio buttons, pull-down lists, text windows and menus. The form can be configured to send the data gathered by these options to a specific email box. Forms can be used to collect data for a variety of reasons. These include but are not limited to the following:

  • Online Questionnaires and Surveys
  • Search Criteria for Database Retrieval
  • Customer Service Request Forms
  • Information Request Forms
  • Web site Comments

InfoDial's exclusive Forms feature gives you powerful features to enhance the functionality of your Web site forms:

SUBJECT
This allows you to specify the 'Subject' line in the email message that is sent to your customers after they have filled out your online form. Example: "This is a message from our Web site Registration Form".

HEADER
This allows you to specify the Headers in the email message that is sent to your customer after completing your online form. You can add descriptive information, instructions, etc.

RETURN RECEIPT
You will get a return receipt as confirmation to confirm that the customer successfully received the form-generated email message.

NEXTPAGE
This page will be displayed in the browser following a successful form submission. This page is totally customizable by you or your web author.

ERRORPAGE
A page you can build that will appear if the form was incorrectly submitted, was not complete or didn't have an email address. Once again, this page is fully customizable.

TEMPLATE
Can be used instead of NEXTPAGE. This allows you to display any of the data that was submitted on the confirmation page.

SAVEAS
Allows you to store the returned template data into a text file. File extensions can be any type of text file like .css, .html, .htm, .txt, .js, etc.

InfoDial's powerful database functions allow you and your customers to add records from a Web page to your Web site databases in real-time:

  • Create custom email that submits the collected information to a database.
  • Send posted information to a specific email address.
  • Specify custom header information.
  • Specify new formats of email, like html-based email.
  • Specify the Subject line of an email.
  • Import new records to contact management software such as ACT or Goldmine.
  • Build new web pages using the data provided from the database post.
  • Receive a return receipt from the recipient of an email message sent by the database.
  • Store the final template data to a text file.
