CONCERTO WEB MAIL SETUP

How to setup Web Mail... In examples below replace your domain name with yoursite.com. Remember, first setup the actual email account in your Email Manager. You will need your email user information to proceed with Webmail setup. If you wish to control email from an email program such as Eudora, Outlook or Netscape then Click Here.

Control Panel:

  • Go to your Site Control Panel (www.yoursite.com/_controlpanel)
  • Click on Account Setup
  • Click on Password Protected Directory Setup

Proposed Configuration:

  • Under Name/Path of directory, after the /_root/, enter _concerto (example: /_root/_concerto)
  • Under Login for Subdirectory enter email user name (example: yoursite_name)
  • Under Password for Subdirectory enter your email password
  • Check box for full permissions

Login to Webmail:

  • Go to www.yoursite.com/_root/_concerto
  • You will be prompted for login/password
  • Enter email user name (ie: yoursite_name) and email password
  • Presto you're in!

How Web mail works:

When checking email using web mail it actually removes the email from your POP account and stores it on your web site under /_root/_concerto/email/username. This means any email messages viewed using web mail cannot be received using a POP3 email program (ie: Outlook, Eudora). If you need email stored in web mail to be accessible by your email program, then you will need to FTP into site and location where email is stored, the download email to local computer. Web mail messages will automatically open and save in Outlook without a problem.
